During the COVID-19 pandemic, I had the privilege of collaborating with the USAID Local Health System Sustainability Project (LHSS) in Jordan to design a comprehensive suite of visual and communication materials.
The LHSS project focuses on helping countries transition to sustainable, self-financed health systems while expanding access to equitable, high-quality care. In Jordan, a crucial part of this mission involved empowering frontline healthcare workers—doctors, nurses, and lab technicians—with the training, research, and tools needed to navigate the challenges of the pandemic, including vital studies on gender equality considerations among frontline workers.
My role was to translate complex medical protocols, training schedules, and research findings into clear, engaging, and culturally respectful visual designs that support Jordan’s healthcare ecosystem.
My Work & Designed Deliverables
For this project, I managed and executed the design of various institutional, digital, and event assets, which included:
- Editorial & Report Layout Design: Designed the complete layout and formatting for the comprehensive exploratory study report, “Gender Equality Considerations Among COVID-19 Frontline Health Workers in Jordan”, ensuring data-heavy charts and research insights were highly readable and professional.
- Official Certification Assets: Crafted the official “Certificate of Attendance” template issued jointly by the Ministry of Health and USAID LHSS for healthcare professionals completing the training tracks.
- Digital & Social Media Campaigns: Created specialized social media announcement graphics and promotional posts for electronic training programs (e.g., in collaboration with the Private Hospitals Association and the Health Care Accreditation Council – HCAC) covering critical topics like Case Management, Mental Health for HCPs, and Caring for Patients with Disabilities.
- Event & Branding Materials: Developed large-scale physical branding assets, including custom-branded event backdrops featuring institutional typography and logo placements for USAID and its local partner networks.
